I just got off my Awkward marathon and it’s now my new favorite series. I know I might’ve said that same exact line for Glee, and look what my relationship with that show had become. I’m still giving the MTV people some time to rethink their despicable choice of making Jake and Jenna happen because it just doesn’t feel right. I’m a Matty-Jenna shipper and if it doesn’t happen again by Season 2, I’m so gonna lose all my hopes for this series.
I instantly fell in love with its commercial on MTV and that was it, but it got deeper as I decided to actually download it instead of waiting every Sunday midnight just for a new episode. It was a wise decision, the series had words that are too clever and witty for my life. I’d want to meet their writers coz they’re fucking good at what they’re doing. It’s a typical teenage series but it gets you hopeful with every ending and really awkward every start. The script-writing totally sets it apart from the other series, for sure, even if it’s not too relatable in my part.
Fingers crossed that they will happen again. I believe and support second chances. I know Matty made a couple of un-boyfriend material things but he’s too irresistible to let go of, aaaand I understand him.
I don’t wanna overanalyze the whole series for now, even if I already am. (trying to find the most relatable person in the series, finding the most relatable situation, who’s who, etc.)
I’ll be back for more of this, but for now, I’ll be following fandom blogs to keep my Awkward spirit going. Chyeaah.
